The Carnegie East House family is made up of individuals from all walks of life. We offer a wide variety of activities to appeal to all of our residents.
Because we’re in the heart of Manhattan, we are able to provide our residents with access to the finest cultural and educational institutions in New York City. Our daily activities begin at 10 a.m .and end with our 7:15 p.m. movie. We have professional musicians who perform for our residents, student volunteers from some of the most exclusive private schools in the City, discussion groups, theatre performances, bridge clubs, exercise classes and numerous other events that occur throughout the day.
Conveniently located near Museum Row, we frequently take trips to such places as The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The American Museum of Natural History and The Museum of Modern Art (MOMA).
We acknowledge that independence is important to residents. We want all of our residents to celebrate the experience of aging and expand their independence through our activities. Please contact our Activities Director, Scott Gordon, at 212-360-2229 to learn more about our exciting activities.
